June 17. L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. Floox, a Barcelona-based manufacturer of fast chargers in direct current (DC) for electric vehicles, has closed a €2 million funding round to consolidate its expansion in Europe. The funding round has been led by Inclimo Climate Tech Fund, a venture capital fund specialized in climate tech, with the participation of Avançsa, the investment company of the Government of Catalonia.

Floox’s plan also includes certifications in countries with more demanding regulatory requirements, as well as strengthening the commercial team and increasing its presence at international trade fairs in the sector. “This round allows us to consolidate our presence in Europe with a product designed and manufactured in Spain. The fast charging market needs technologically advanced solutions, that position us in a value segment and differentiate us from commodity solutions, adapting to the timelines that the sector needs and providing value-added solutions both in design and functionality,” states Jordi Gazo, CEO of Floox.

Headquartered in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona), Floox was born in 2022 as a division of the industrial group Premium PSU, specialized in power electronics, and was established as an independent company in 2024. This industrial heritage —uncommon in a startup at its stage— has allowed it to reach the market with a mature, robust product designed from day one to be manufactured in series.

Design and local manufacturing

The company designs and manufactures in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat chargers for electric vehicles in the direct current (DC) charging modality with power ranges between 7 kW and 400 kW aimed at three customer segments: service stations that electrify their offering, electric transport fleets —buses, trucks and last mile— and transit areas such as shopping centers, gyms and logistics hubs.

Its portfolio is structured in two product families: Lyra, compact chargers from 7 to 80 kW designed for urban and commercial locations, and Lynx, high-power equipment of up to 400 kW for charging corridors and intensive fleets. The proposal is differentiated by fast installation and minimal maintenance —in some models, in less than one hour—, energy efficiency above 97% and a sustainable design: the equipment incorporates 70% recycled steel, is 90% recyclable and is designed for a useful life of more than ten years, with resistance to vandalism and operation in adverse weather conditions.

The company complements its hardware with FlooxCare, its remote monitoring and predictive maintenance software platform, which reduces operational costs of charging networks. And its outsourced production offers a flexible model that allows scaling without investment in own factories, shortening delivery times and reinforcing local manufacturing in a competitive market. Floox markets through a network of installer partners and commercial partners.

“The electrification of transport is one of the key vectors of decarbonization in Europe. Floox combines its own technology, local manufacturing and a team with deep industrial knowledge: the exact profile of company we are looking for at Inclimo,” says Emili Curià, Investment Manager at Inclimo.

Electric mobility on the rise

The electric mobility sector maintains a trajectory of structural growth: according to the International Energy Agency, global sales of electric vehicles set records year after year, their share of the total automotive market grows steadily and the trend is already extending beyond Europe and China towards emerging economies. This deployment, together with the European objectives for charging infrastructure in the main transport corridors, will require multiplying the fast-charging network in the coming years — the opportunity that Floox aims to capture with this round. Floox has closed a €2 million funding round led by Inclimo Climate Tech Fund with the participation of Avançsa. The funds will be allocated to commercial expansion in Europe. The company offers a complete DC charging ecosystem —from 7 to 400 kW.
